Clan Davidson - Clann Dhaibhidh Clan Chief Alister Davidson of Davidston The Clan is descended from David Dubh, possibly a son of one of the early Chattan chiefs. The Davidsons feature in the 14th century, when they sought the protection of Clan Chattan, after the downfall of the Comyn family. |

Their original lands were at Invernahavon, though the Castle of Davidson of Tulloch acquired in 1763 near Dingwall may also be linked to this particular Clan Davidson. |
