2009 saw the Clan Chattan Association celebrate the 400th anniversary of the signing of the great 1609 Band of Union which marked the establishment of Clan Chattan as the first true super Clan.
The four days of celebrations saw hundreds of visitors from across the world arrive in Scotland. The two key events saw a memorial stone unveiled at Termit, near Inverness in a location very close to where the original Band of Union was signed and the signing of a modern day version of the Band of Union at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness.
In addition to the hundreds who signed the Band in Inverness, over 630 signed electronically.
