Aye. here's news to you.
I have decided to gee' my Clan Chattan Kilt awa'.
I canny be bothered wi' it no more.
Too much responsiblity.
Tay much bickering tween clans fer me the now.
Just don't want it.
It has sadly lost it's charm.
Ever since my mum Catherine Sinclair Cameron Davidson-Ricci passed away years ago being "Scottish" has lost it's apeal.
See I was adopted at six weeks old by a Glaswegian woman here in Seattle and had a very happy childhood with her Scottish side of here family and all the other clans i was brought up with.
I was raised by a large immegrant group here in Seattle.
I still tell people that English is my second language. They laugh, then i cuss them out in Glaswegian. Then become frought, and sometimes CRY!
Years ago I became Washington State Commisioner for Clan Chattan Society, U.S.A. and ordered a Clan Chattan Kilt for myself.
Well, I am just not active in Clan Chattan officially anylonger, so it just seems a shame to have this extremely valuable garmet hanging in a closet when it should be donned by someone worthing of it so i can be seen in all its glory.
For Christ's Sake!
It is just silly for me to hold onto anylonger.
Plus, I don't want to just sell it to just anybody.
I want a genuine member of Clan Chattan, Wherever they may live worldwide to have a chance to wear my kilt. Especially someone for whatever reason canny afford a kilt.
If I remeber right this Kilt cost over $700 US and took a month and a half to make back in Scotland and shipped back to me in the States.
So put the word out, the contest will be unbiased to clan sept affiliation. Being adopted into Clan Chattan gives me no blood loyalty anyway. Although I do have a preference for a Clan Davidson member to get it.
Well if you've read this far and you want to know the "RULES" for the contest, quess what? AUCH! hell, I don't know. Just email me at
ricciraymond@yahoo.com or write me back here.
Do me a favor and and write me a letter exrpessing your sincere desire for A FREE CLAN CHATTAN KILT!
ARTHUR
